Dr J. Suria Kumar is an Associate Professor of Microbiology at Government Medical College, Dindigul, Tamil Nadu with over 20 years of experience in Infection Prevention & Control and Infectious Diseases. He completed his MD in Microbiology from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research and holds Fellowship training in HIV Medicine under the University of Washington–ITECH program.
He has served as a national-level trainer for TB and HIV control programs and played a key role in molecular diagnostic services, including COVID-19 and MDR-TB laboratory strengthening. A passionate medical educator and speaker, he is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training, infection control education, and healthcare quality improvement initiatives.
Dr T. Murugalakshmi is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Skill Lab In-Charge at Government Medical College, Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. She completed her Diploma in Ophthalmology and MD in Pharmacology from Madurai Medical College. Her major areas of interest include Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (AMSP).
An innovative medical educator and dedicated academician, she is actively involved in skill-based training, undergraduate medical education, and curriculum development. She has published several scientific articles and is committed to promoting rational antimicrobial use, patient safety, and evidence-based healthcare practices.
